Stephanie & Adam- Sneak Peek! (Winona Lake IN Wedding Photographers)
I can be a bit of a tease at times... this being one of those times! ;)
Stephanie and Adam had a wonderful crisp fall day for their wedding. It was amazing, and there will be many more photos to come... but I'm leaving you with this for now!

Winter Wonderland
I love taking walks in the winter, and joy be mine, my husband gave me a teeny-tiny pocket camera for Christmas (surprise!) so I can walk a little more easily these days. (My last pocket camera was doomed to collect dust when I dropped it with the lens extended. I did get a really cool shot of a praying mantis before I dropped it though! Since then I've been carrying around one of our DSLRs when I walk, and it is hard on the neck!)
Here's a little collection of snaps from my walk this morning. Most of these photos were taken in the space between the ground & 4 feet. Never underestimate what you might find when you look down!
One last note- All my images from now on will be watermarked, as I found out people were "borrowing" them without asking permission. I don't like the added work, but I also don't like all those stories you hear about people being sued for copyright infringement... so on goes the watermark! ~Naomi

Vacation!
Next week we will be unavailable- as we are taking a much needed vacation to Lake Michigan! There's a tiny little cabin along the coast with our name on it! September is shaping up to be a busy month for Double K, so be sure to check back soon!

Laura & Ben - The re-edits!
I decided to retouch the engagement pictures I shot because I've learned a bit more since I did them. Here's the new set. I really like the softer touch, especially since it seems to give them a more emotional feel! ~Naomi

Kelsey- Class of 2011
Kelsey is such a great person! When she told me her previous senior portraits hadn't turned out very well, I actually asked her to let me have a shot at 'em!
She has a great natural smile & ease about her, plus she has an awesome sense of humor! This true cowgirl made my very first senior session a piece of cake! (And I'm on a diet!)

Entries
These are our entries for the 2009 Warsaw Community Public Library Photo Contest. Sam's are first. I had to pick them for him because he thought all his photos were not worthy. *shakes head*

I'm a little nervous about having my face hanging in public like this, but it is one of his better shots from this year.
My color pick is this macro I did of Leia. She's the only one of our cats that holds still enough for me to get macro shots!
And this is possibly one of the best pictures I've ever made. I love it & am glad to have a reason to frame it so we can have it on our wall now!

Scanimals!
We got a new printer/scanner last week. I've been scanning from pictures that I like & haven't shared online yet. First up is one of the very first pictures I took with my first manual camera. Duke is so expressive & I was compelled to use a limited depth of field to show just how much.
Then there's our latest cat edition, Leia, who is probably the most expressive of our cats. She was watching "cat tv" for the first time of the year & I interrupted her to catch this look.
This was taken during Kosciusko's Taste of Agriculture. Someone had just dumped these piglets in the back of a pickup. The owner showed up to find 4 pigs in his pickup bed!
This is one of a pair of twin fawns I used to see on the Beyer Farm Greenway. I believe my heart stopped while I was shooting this little guy up close.

Orangutan at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. Love Orangutans, hate that exhibit.
Kangaroo at Ft Wayne too. I was learning to use my zoom lens at the time.
I love this set of a flamingo from the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, MI.

And to finish with another bird, this is an egret from the Australian exhibit, also from the Ft Wayne Zoo.

Masked Leaves
Just a set of leaves I've been working on. I'll probably use these for notecards. Maybe Christmas presents!
