She saw, He saw...

This is just an example of how my husband & I work differently. My job is to focus of portraits & creative shots, while Sam is to capture anything he can involving human interaction. He is so good at it because he is shy, quiet, and people tend to forget he's even there! Works like a charm... in fact, until I saw this photo on our computer, I even had no idea he had taken it! ~Naomi

Laura & Ben- June 2010 Wedding

Laura is a dear friend that I made while working in a vet clinic. She's a very special woman, and that shows simply in the amount of friends she makes & keeps. So many people at her wedding because she & Ben are so important! Here are a sample from the preparations of their wedding day. For more go to our facebook site.

Laura adding lipstick, her soon-to-be sister in law looking on:

Ben discovering cuff links aren't exactly an easy task to check off your list!
While this shot was being taken....
This was happening on the guys' side....
But not to worry, there were serious moments too-
The girls looking oh-so-gorgeous!
I just love shots like these-
We had a rather reluctant ring-bearer on our hands so we used creative means to add him to the wedding photos:
Now it's the guys' turn to look sharp-
Future competition?

Finally warming up to me:
I don't like being intrusive, but I wanted to get this snap of the pastor praying with the bride before the wedding:
I couldn't resist adding this one- the sheer joy!

Laura & Ben 6-26-10 Sneak Peek

Laura has to be one of my biggest fans. She asked us to photograph her wedding back in October... way before we had even dreamed of what we're now doing on a regular basis! Not only did she give us the kick we needed to start our business, but I wanted her wedding to be PERFECT in every way, so we worked our butts off to make it so! (Well, I did, but Sam is so skinny there wasn't anything to get rid of!) I had a super hard time picking what to share for the sneak peek of their special day because we have so many wonderful photos to chose from. Such a gorgeous couple, and as we've gotten to know Ben we can see why Laura is head-over-satin-heels for him!! We adore you both, and hope you have a fabulous time together on your honeymoon! Can't wait to share what we have for you when you come home! ~Naomi

Ben has a weakness for red tractors so we had to find a way to add that in:
My husband caught this one of Ben:
And I captured this one of Laura looking OH SO GORGEOUS:

All I can say is that was quite a smooch!!

The camo just makes any shot more fun:
First dance together- made me sniffle a little behind my camera! I'm so happy for you two:

Just another of the little red tractor's appearances:

Our little family- June 2010

My husband & I can't have children... but that hasn't stopped us from filling our house with pets! They actually are our "kids" in many ways, including short attention spans & the ability to do many things for a treat. Sam's family needed a photo of us with the dogs & so we asked our friend, Katie Stine, to come out for the day & help us take photos. She really blew me away with what she captured!! Here are some highlights from the day- This first two are from me:

I love how you can see Lizy looking back to be sure me & Duke are following!

Some from Katie:

I snapped this one of Miles, being OH SO adorable! He's a shy little thing so it isn't very often he looks at the camera, even for "Mommy"!

Kat got this one of Lizy:

These are all Kat:

Our "Three Musketeers":

We never miss a chance to smooch:

As a thank you to Kat we had her over for lunch- Sweet N Sour kebabs were on the menu, followed by gourmet s'mores. These are some photos I snapped-

How do you make gourmet s'mores, you ask-

And yes, they were every bit as heavenly as they look:

Thank you so much, Katie, for the wonderful day & the amazing photos!! Duke would be more than happy to give you some kisses, if you feel you need more compensation for the shoot! ~Naomi

Me, being bored-

We have this great abandoned field behind our house. I didn't have a model, but wanted to work with the sunrise, so using the remote shutter, I used myself. It gave me a chance to try out some new textures & editing styles. Hope you enjoy! ~Naomi
